Granados homers; Cyclones fall to Bulldogs

Even with some solid hits in the second game, the Cyclones lost their doubleheader with South Suburban College.

GAME 1
The Cyclones' offense stalled in the first game with the Bulldogs. Except for some spark in the third and fourth innings, Moraine Valley mustered one hit in the 10-0 loss.

Moraine Valley got their first runner, Ruby Amigon, on base in the top of third when she reached after an infield error. The following inning, Jolene Anderson was walked, Mya Granados reached first on a fielding error and Brialynn Mica (1-for-2) singled to load the bases. However, the next two batters grounded and popped out to end the inning.

GAME 2
The offense added more pep in this game, but the Cyclones fell 10-4.

The Cyclones scored first after Mica (1-for-3, RBI) hit an RBI single. The Bulldogs collected seven runs in their first at-bat, however, and three more in the third inning before Moraine Valley shut them down. It wasn't until the fifth inning when the Cyclones tallied three more runs, all done with two outs. Emma Hansen (1-for-3) walked and Anderson (1-for-3, 2B, RBI) brought her home with a double. Granados (1-for-2, HR, 2 RBIs) came up with a long homerun to score two more runs before it was over.
