Cyclones faceoff with Pioneers

The Cyclones were only able to fit in one game of a doubleheader with Prairie State College due to the weather, falling short in five innings.

In their first at-bat, the Pioneers knocked down some singles to score in the first few innings. After a quick first inning, the Cyclones had some hits of their own in the bottom of the second. Mya Granados (3-for-3) started with a single, which Brialynn Mica (1-for-3) replicated. Although Marissa Walsh (1-for-2) struck out, Rachel Minnich (1-for-2) singled to load the bases. However, a double play ball ended the inning without any runners crossing the plate.

The lone run for the Cyclones happened in the fifth inning after two outs. Emma Hansen (1-for-3) and Jolene Anderson (1-for-3) each singled before Granados knocked in the run with an RBI single. But that was it as the Cyclones lost 9-1.
