Going into the top of the sixth, the Cyclones tallied six more runs with two outs to take a 7-6 lead. Granados started the rally with a double to left field followed by a walk from Walsh. Then a string of hits drove the runs in. Riley Evoy (1-for-1, RBI) singled as did Rachel Minnich (1-for-3, RBI) and Maya Conners (1-for-3). Brialynn Mica (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) then came up and knocked in two runs from a line double to left field. Emma Hansen (1-for-4 2 RBIs) gave her team the 7-6 lead with a two-run single. However, the Pioneers went on a hitting rampage to get nine runs in the bottom of the inning.

Mica (4-for-4, 2B), Hansen (2-for-4, RBI) and Jolene Anderson (1-for-4, RBI) each singled in quick succession with Anderson earning the run. Granados was hit by a pitch before Walsh (1-for-3, RBI) singled to drive a second run home.

In the second inning, Riley Hayes (1-for-3) and Mica each singled. Hansen knocked in another run with a single before the inning was over. The Pioneers attempted to come back, getting within one, but the Cyclones held them after the fourth inning and added insurance in the seventh after McClelland (2-for-4, 2B, RBI) hit an RBI double for the 4-2 victory. Ruby Amigon was the winning pitcher, allowing just four hits and striking out one.
