Facing another unfamiliar team at spring training, the Cyclones battled with Sussex County Community College (New Jersey) and lost the effort after six innings.

In their fourth game of this trip, Moraine Valley was able to earn three runs, slowly getting the offense moving. They earned their first run in the bottom of the third with two outs. With Megan McClelland (1-for-3) on from a fielder's choice and Mya Granados on from a walk, Jolene Anderson (1-for-3) doubled in their first run of the game.

In the bottom of the fifth, Ruby Amigon (1-for-2) singled on a fly to center field. Maya Conners (1-for-1) advanced her with a sac bunt before McClelland moved Amigon to third with a line drive single. Granados grounded out but scored Amigon. Then Anderson hit a ground ball and reached first on a fielding error and scored McClelland. But that wasn't enough in the 11-3 loss.
