Cyclones face nationally ranked Golden Eagles

The Cyclones knew they'd have their work cut out for them against the nationally ranked Rock Valley College. They lost both games in the doubleheader at home.

Facing an offensive powerhouse, the Cyclones lost the first game 17-0 in five innings. The Golden Eagles put up seven runs in the first inning alone. It wasn't until the fourth when Nicole Wagner hit a single. Emily Manso and Arianna Andersen had some walks, but that was it for the Cyclones at bat.

The second game saw a few more Cyclone bats get some action, and they were able to hold off the Golden Eagles a little better in the 12-1 loss. In the bottom of the fourth, Alexandria Palumbo earned a walk before Emily Madrigal doubled to center field to drive her home. Andersen and Wagner also had singles while Manso walked once in this game.
