Cyclones split with Wolves

It had been over two weeks since the Cyclones were able to get back on the field for a game, and they came out with a split in their doubleheader with Joliet Junior College.

GAME 1
The first game saw the Cyclones warm back into action with the bats slow to wake up, losing 15-2. The Wolves jumped out early in the first two innings to go up 14-0. Moraine Valley didn't get on the board until the fourth and fifth innings off of doubles and RBIs from Abbie Wantroba (1-for-3) and Emily Koprowski (1-fo-1). Ashley Roberts toed the rubber to start with Abigail Koran throwing in relief.

GAME 2
The second game saw a complete reversal as the Cyclones amassed 12 hits for the 12-1 victory. In the first two innings alone, they scored 10. The first inning rally was led by singles from Koran (2-for-2, 2B, 2 RBIs) and Kara Riordan (2-for-4, 2B, RBI), an error on the ball put in play by Emily Manso (1-for-4, 3 RBIs) and Arianna Andersen (1-for-3, RBI), and a first pitch two-run homerun from Danielle Travis (1-for-4). Other RBIs came from Abbie Wantroba (2-for-3, 2B, RBI) and Haley Garza. Koran earned the win from the mound, allowing zero runs and striking out one.
