More success in first 8K of season

The Cyclones took third place again, this time at the Ken Weidt Cross Country Classic at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon.

This was the first 8K race of the season for the men, and they ran it well, finishing third out of six teams. David Olmos crossed the line first and took 10th overall out of 68, running the second fastest 8K in Moraine Valley history (26:35). Brandon Armendarez was next in 31st place in 27:24 followed by Jack Kajmowicz (44th in 29:22), Gavin Hampton (47th in 29:35) and Ryan O'Connor (55th in 30:40).

"Overall, it was a nice first 8K for the season. The men ran some nice times and continued their good start from the last meet," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "It was Moraine Valley's first time at this meet/course, so no one really knew what to expect. The competition was nice and will hopefully give them all some confidence heading into Wheaton, where there will be many more runners than what they've faced so far this season."
