Making a statement

Making a statement

Among 12 colleges, and being the only junior college team, the Cyclones made a statement finishing 10th out of 12 at the Gil Dodds Invitational in Warrenville.

Grant Wright led the way in 28:27 for 104th place. Suhayb Froukh (29:12, 125th) came in after him followed by Carlos Galvan (29:16, 127th), Matt Pierce (29:49, 128th), Nick Marfoe (31:50, 168th), Nate Hackett (31:52, 169th) and Chris Santoyo (33:53, 178th).

"We're getting healthy and starting to put things together. Some guys didn't have their best race, but it was a learning experience for everyone. I was most impressed with Matt. He ran under 30 for the first time and is looking stronger. We'll need him at his best at the end of October," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas.
