With an all-freshman cross country team came a few unknowns, but what resulted was two Cyclones running at nationals and a few others making significant improvements to bolster the cause next season.
A young and fresh Cyclone team had their biggest test of the season at the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference and NJCAA Region IV championships in Galesburg, Illinois. They qualified two for the national tournament.
A tough course and muddy conditions couldn’t stop the Cyclone men’s cross country team from finishing sixth out of nine teams at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
In their first 8K of the season and as the only community college, the Cyclones, running all freshmen, took a solid fourth out of six teams at the Purdue Northwest Classic Cross Country Invitational.
