In their return to the postseason, the Cyclones defeated Black Hawk College in the final minutes of the first round of NJCAA Region 4 playoffs.

Both teams battled from one end of the field to the other. In the first half, the Braves took most of the shots, narrowly missing the goal. The second half saw a reversal in control with the Cyclones making more attempts. In the last minute and a half of the game, Yael Diaz headed the ball over the goalie into the corner to keep his team's playoff run alive.

"Playoff games are always going to be tough. We weren't at our best, but we still kept a clean sheet and made one incredible play for the goal. Sometimes that's all you need," said Head Coach Chris Koloffon.

The Cyclones continue their run on Saturday, Oct. 28, 4 p.m., against Carl Sandburg College and hosted at Knox College.
