As the regular season winds down, the Cyclones need every win to help them in the NJCAA Region 4 playoffs. They did just that with a 5-2 victory over the No. 2 team in the region, Illinois Valley Community College.

The Cyclones jumped on the Eagles early and maintained control for most of the game. Yael Diaz scored twice and also had two assists while Yamir Gallegos, Orlando Ojeda and Anthony Quintana each scored one.

This win helped the Cyclones secure a berth into playoffs, which they haven't been able to do in the last few years. They host Black Hawk College in the first round on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2:30 p.m.
