The Cyclones suffered a shutout in their home opener when the Kishwaukee College Kougars came to the Cyclone Center.

A pass and fast break by the Kougars after three minutes put the Cyclones down 1-0, but the defense stopped any more scoring for nearly the rest of the game. Kishwaukee only scored again in the second half at the 11-minute mark off a corner kick. Even in this 2-0 loss, the Cyclones had 15 shots on goal and 12 corner kicks, just barely missing the net on several attempts.
