Even with six starters out, the Cyclones were able to put together a solid 3-1 victory over Kankakee Community College in the home opener.

The size and depth of the Cyclone roster was helpful in pulling together a team effort for the win. Danny Flores-Yugsi and Pedro Guzman each scored their first collegiate goal. Aldo Lagunas also scored. Eduardo Sanchez had several saves in goal.
