Strong finish prepares Cyclones for regionals

At the Joliet Junior College Invite, the Cyclones faced two- and four-year colleges and universities, finishing seventh overall with two golfers taking two spots in the top 15 individuals.

The rain stayed away and the Cyclones played well as they prepare for the NJCAA Region 4 tournament this weekend. Sophomores Ben King and Dan Davila led the way with low scores of 76 and 77 for seventh and 15th place, respectively. Coming in after them was Kyle Kuchel (85), Ryan Flynders (87), David Prim (89) and Joey O'Brien (92).

The Cyclones finished ahead of Skyway Conference rival Waubonsee Community College (10th place) and host Joliet (12th place) along with the Dominican University and Carthage College. They will start the region competition on Sunday, April 28, at PrairieView Golf Club in Byron, IL.
