Cyclones stay consistent at Cog Hill

The Cyclones continued their consistent play with some impressive action from two sophomores as well as a third place team finish on their home course at Cog Hill.

Scores from all teams were high during a tough day at Cog Hill. Competition was close with the Cyclones only 10 shots out of first (340). Sophomore Marty Bennett led the way for Moraine Valley with a third place overall finish and score of 78.

"Marty's round was most impressive because he did not strike the ball well but scrambled like crazy. His tee shot went way right all day, and he spent a lot of time in the trees. But, Marty played smart, got it back in play, and was able to limit the damage and score a good round," said Head Coach Matt Lovelace.

Sophomore Patrick Clifton had a memorable day and saw a career low round of 86. Paul Douglas stayed consistent, finishing with 82 while Randy Miller (88), Jack McDonald (92) and Connor Finn (105) evened out the scoring.
