Big win to start 2020

The Cyclones started off the new year loud and clear — they're ready for the next round of competition. They won their Skyway Conference opener with an 84-49 victory over Oakton Community College.

Although both benches were working with depleted rosters, the Cyclones saw a scoring surge in the second half. The playing field was even throughout the first half with the Cyclones only holding a four-point lead. After halftime they scored 50 while holding the Owls to 19 points. Jalen Hughes led the way with a big 25-point load followed by Dontia Johnson who had 24 points along with 13 rebounds and five assists. Trevon Jones added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Zion Fortune (nine points, nine rebounds) and Jalen Levy (seven points, five assists) also contributed.
