The 2019-20 Cyclone men’s basketball team finished their season with an overall 25-7 and 11-3 conference record. They were ranked 11th in the NJCAA Division II at one point, knocked down the No. 3-ranked team in the nation and earned a co-conference championship to top the season. The Cyclones saw plenty of success, especially for first-year Head Coach John Chappetto. He had plenty to say about his sophomores moving on.

When the Cyclones first faced Waubonsee Community College early last month, they lost by 14 points. In their second meeting tonight, Moraine Valley earned their just revenge in a 21-point victory.
In the ongoing battle for the Skyway Conference, the Cyclones’ matchup with Morton College was not to be taken lightly. With only one win separating their Skyway records, they didn’t disappoint as the No. 20 ranked Cyclones grabbed the 97-71 victory.
The matchup between the Cyclones and Elgin Community College was an even split with both teams yielding 15 wins and one game difference in losses. Moraine Valley, however, came out strong to demolish the Spartans 101-77.
