In their second meeting of the season, the Cyclones faced the tough Rock Valley College Golden Eagles, dropping both games.
GAME 1
Moraine Valley scored all their runs in the sixth inning in an attempt to make a comeback, but fell short 9-3.
The Golden Eagles had some key hits to get on the board while shutting down the Cyclones at the plate. Moraine Valley didn't get a hit until the fifth inning when Nicholas Haran (1-for-2) singled. They were finally able to score after Christian Cardenas (1-for-3) and Jack Hoh (1-for-3) singled and Ethan Lopez walked to load the bases in the sixth. Emmet Barry (1-for-2, 2 RBIs) knocked in two runs with a hard grounder. Arnoldo Velazquez grounded into a fielder's choice but Lopez scored on a fielding error. Although the Cyclones stopped the Golden Eagle offense, they were also halted at the plate after that.
GAME 2
Although the Cyclones collected six hits this game, they didn't score enough in the 10-2 loss.
The runs came from Hoh (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) in the third with two on, and he hit a double to tie the score 1-1. Then in the top of the seventh, Hoh doubled again with one on.
