Two and out

The Cyclones battled with College of Lake County but came up short in the doubleheader.

GAME 1
After the first inning, the game was tied 3-3. The Cyclones were able to tie things in the bottom of that inning after Christian Rosales (1-for-5) singled to start and the next three batters walked to get one run in. Ayden Lasson (1-for-4) hit a hard grounder to drive in two runs. After that, the Cyclones largely got on base through walks. In the sixth and seventh innings, the Lancers drove home two more runs to deal Moraine Valley the 5-3 loss. On the mound, Xavier Aguilar had six strikeouts.

GAME 2
The Cyclones only had five hits in the second game, resulting in an 8-3 loss. Niko Mastoras (1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBIs) and Ethan Lopez earned the RBIs. Lopez was walked after three runners got on from fielding errors and a walk in the third for the first run. Mastoras doubled in the bottom of the sixth to score two after Lasson and Augustus White singled. Ryan O'Shea struck out five in the effort.
