Cyclones so close in first playoff game

Cyclones so close in first playoff game

The Cyclones started their run in the playoffs in a round robin format, facing Morton College first.

Moraine Valley opened up the scoring in the first inning after Danzel Lucas (2-for-4) singled on a 1-2 count to get William Miller (1-for-3) across the plate. However, that was the only scoring the Cyclones could muster in this game despite collecting seven hits and having a solid pitching effort from Daniel Rosado.

For six innings, the Cyclones held the Panthers off thanks to Rosado striking out seven and allowing no runs. It wasn't until the seventh and eighth innings where Morton got on the board, and Moraine Valley was unable to counter with runs of their own in the 4-1 loss.

Maxwell Hensler, Jake Lisk, Yashion Boswell and Christian Cardenas also each had a hit this game.
