Cyclones fall short in home opener

In their home opener against Olive-Harvey College, the Cyclones had a slow start and nearly made a comeback but fell just short 6-5.

The Panthers opened up scoring in the first inning. Ben Cash doubled in the second inning before Jake Cummins hit a bloop that was overthrown to first and allowed Cash to score to get the Cyclones on the board. William Miller and Maxwell Hensler had some late hits to help the Cyclones attempt a comeback, but it was too late. Nomar Areizaga took the loss after throwing a few innings.
