Lucas hits homerun in fall to Bulldogs

The Cyclones played some good innings and had a homerun in their loss to South Suburban College.

It wasn't until near the end of the game when the Cyclones lost this game, otherwise they kept the Bulldogs close. South Suburban scored one run in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings. In the fourth inning, Danzel Lucas (2-for-3) hit a two-run homerun and scored William Miller (1-for-3). Those were the only runs despite hits from Anthony Cappelletti (1-for-3, 2B), Samuel Rogers (1-for-2) and Brian Funk (1-for-2).

Between the sixth and seventh innings, the Bulldogs scored seven times to keep the Cyclones down 12-2.

Gilberto Hernandez was on the hill, lasting four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two. Ryan Grand and Cole Hermanson entered in relief, throwing two innings and one-third of an inning, respectively.
