Two former athletes and one head coach are set to be inducted into the 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame this month.

The new class of inductees includes cross country Head Coach Mark Horstmeyer (2000-16), basketball player Sharnita Lloyd (2008-10) and volleyball player Kara Kentner (2012-14).

The trio will be inducted at a formal ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2:45 p.m., in between the Cyclones women's and men's basketball games.

For the first time, the inductees will share their experiences in their respective sports at an Athletics Hall of Fame Conversations event on Friday, Feb. 16. They will speak with current Moraine Valley student-athletes and alumni.
