This time of year is always bittersweet. It’s celebratory for those student-athletes completing an associate degree or certificate, graduating and/or transferring to a four-year college or university, but it’s also sad when the Cyclones only have their athletes for two years and have to see them move on.
Two former athletes and one retired coach were the latest group inducted into the Moraine Valley Athletics Hall of Fame on Feb. 17. The sixth class of inductees includes a 16-year cross country coach and a volleyball and basketball player.
General McArthur III has always been a numbers guy, and even worked in accounting, but his passion was sports. He worked his way from one career to the other and became the new Athletics director (AD) at Moraine Valley on July 1.
