Plenty of PRs at Gil Dodds Invite

Plenty of PRs at Gil Dodds Invite

After going two weeks without a competition, the Cyclones were back in action at the Gil Dodds Invitational in Warrenville. Not only were they the only junior college competing with a full team, but several runners also posted personal bests.

The women finished 10th of 11 teams, all of which were NCAA DII and DIII schools. Any potential poor weather held off so they could run solid times. Victoria Granz led the way in 26:48, finishing 114th. Coming in after her was Adali Haro (27:51, 137th), Nicole Pannitto (29:04, 146th), Madison Krisch (29:25, 149th), Jaime Funk (30:14, 153rd) and Yasmeen Abuhayyeh (31:27, 162).

"I'm very happy with how the women performed. We had a lot of big PRs, which should help their confidence heading into next week," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "We still have some little things to work on and will continue to work on getting faster, but we're headed in the right direction."
