Fresh from being ranked No. 18 in the NJCAA Division II, the Cyclones continued their domination in a much-needed 3-0 victory over Morton College.

Coming into this match, both teams were undefeated in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference. Whoever won would have the upper hand in becoming champions with one more Skyway game to go. With the boost of being ranked, player Ava Porada being named NJCAA DII Offensive Player of the Week, and playing on their home court, it was a quick three set victory: 25-13, 25-14, 25-19.

The Cyclones have one more conference match on Oct. 12 with College of Lake County to solidify if they are the champions.

Porada finished with 23 assists and five kills while Brooklyn Condon had eight aces and 12 digs. Kaila Butvilas collected 13 kills and Ava Theoharis contributed 19 digs.
