Cyclones nab fifth straight

The Cyclones nabbed their fifth consecutive win after going 73-67 over Joliet Junior College.

Although Moraine Valley jumped out to a 16-2 lead, they could not pull away. The Wolves fought back to get within seven after the first quarter, and by halftime the lead was cut to four (34-30). Joliet tied the score in both the third and fourth quarters but the Cyclones never relinquished the lead. Moraine Valley built a 73-62 lead with a minute to go, and hung on to the win despite a few more buckets from the Wolves.

Chelsea Cross led her team again with 18 points, and Kirsten Kamholz added 14 points. Diamond Dortch played her best game of the season with 11 points, eight assists, six rebounds and six steals. Marty Reeves had a complete game with eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.
