  • Sophomore Send-off: Men’s soccer

    The sophomores from the 2019 soccer team have plenty to be proud of. They ended the fall season with an overall 16-5 record and went 6-1 in conference for a co-championship. They tallied 64 goals overall and averaged 3.05 goals per game and 15.6 shots per game. Several players earned honors. A number of sophomores are continuing their education and some will continue to play soccer. Head Coach Chris Koloffon has some things to say about those athletes moving on.

    For their second consecutive season, the Cyclones earned an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference co-championship, finished with a solid record and earned individual honors.

    Even putting their best efforts on the field, the Cyclones couldn’t stop a resilient Morton College squad in the Region IV semifinals. Moraine Valley fell 3-1 to the Panthers.

    An overall solid game garnered the Cyclones their fourth straight victory. They won 5-2 over Oakton Community College.

    In the battle between father and son, pops won out. The Cyclones’ Head Coach TJ Donahue saw his team face Daley College, which is coached by his son. Moraine Valley prevailed in dominating fashion, winning the matchup at home 9-0.
