Heartbreak at home

The Cyclones suffered a heartbreaking loss after battling through 12 innings with Harper College.

It was a big hitting day for the Cyclones, one where they amassed 13 hits. Although Harper scored one in the first inning, the Cyclones tied it up in their next at-bat. Moraine Valley then took the lead after scoring three in the fourth inning off of RBIs from Danzel Lucas, Samuel Rogers and Brian Funk. In the next inning, however, the Hawks went ahead 6-4 with big hits to score five. In the bottom of the ninth, the Cyclones added two runs to tie the game at six and go into extra innings. It remained deadlocked until the top of the 12th when the Hawks scored four to seal the 10-6 victory and the Cyclones were unable to answer, taking the loss.

Maximus Bullock (3-for-6), Anthony Cappelletti and William Miller also collected multiple hits in the affair.
