Mother Nature stalls Cyclones

Mother Nature was a little too involved, prematurely halting the Cyclones' game with College of Lake County after seven innings. The game was called, however, with the Cyclones losing 5-3.

The Lancers started the scoring with an RBI line out in the second inning, but the Cyclones answered with two of their own. Leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, the Cyclones gave up a two-run single to put them behind 3-2. After Lake County scored one in the top of the sixth, Moraine Valley answered again with an RBI single from Stephen Insley (2-for-3). The Lancers scored again, but the Cyclones didn't have enough time to counter act as the rain officially ended the game.

Christopher Villafuerte took the loss after throwing six innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out three and walking zero.
