In a game that had scores more in line with football, the Cyclones went back and forth with Prairie State College, ending on the wrong end of the finale, losing 13-12.

It came down to the bottom of the ninth inning with both teams sitting at 12 before the Pioneers singled in the go-ahead winning run. The Cyclones had bounced back several times in this outing thanks to some big hits.

Moraine Valley put up four runs in the fifth inning led by Gerald Powell (2-for-4, 4 RBIs, 3 runs) and Brenden Butler (2-for-5, 1RBI). After the Pioneers put up six runs in the seventh, the Cyclones trailed by four. Powell blasted a three-run shot in the eighth, and Kyel Alexander scored one on a sacrifice fly to tie the game. But it wasn't enough of a comeback.

Among the Cyclones' 16 hits was a double from William Curtis (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) and single RBIs from Nate Villagomez and Gilbert Jaime-Baez and three runs scored by Thomas Moran (3-for-5).

Ryan Czajowski started on the bump, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one. Richie Kiernicki took the loss, going two innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out one.
