If there’s one way to finish a college running career, it’s at the national tournament. All three Cyclones ran well to end their season at the NJCAA Division II Cross Country Championship in Tallahassee, Florida.
The main goal for the start of the cross country season was for all three runners to qualify for the national championships. They did just that at the NJCAA Region IV Championship.
It was a good day to be a Cyclone. The women’s team repeated their Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Championship with top finishes and individual honors.
Even while not at 100%, two Cyclones put in smart efforts, and one earned a personal best, at the Bradley Pink Classic at Bradley University Newman Golf Course in Peoria in order to prepare for the conference and region championships.
Two running Cyclones gutted out the rolling course at the Ranger Open at the University of Wisconsin (UW)-Parkside, Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha.
The running Cyclones put in a fighting effort at the Gil Dodds Invitational at Wheaton College at St. James Farm in Warrenville with each earning a personal best.
