Lone Cyclone holds her own at PNW Classic

In only their second race of the season, and first 5K, the Cyclone women were dwindled down to one healthy runner, who held her own at the PNW Cross Country Classic at Purdue University.

Maria Thurman placed 31st in 24:40 as the lone Cyclone runner in the small field of athletes. She ran well, especially considering the tough spot she's been in recently as the only healthy woman.

"She had a good start, another strong finish and gained some valuable racing experience," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "We're hoping to have a few more teammates for her to run with this upcoming week, so that will be a benefit for everyone."
