Solid run by two Cyclones at Elmhurst

Cyclone women's cross country opened their racing season at the Earlybird Invitational at Elmhurst College.

This was the opening race for the Cyclones, who faced a field of four-year universities and community colleges. They only ran two women due to injuries and could not collect a team score, but both ran the 4K course well. Maria Thurman finished in 19:05 in 66th place while Jasmeene Guido crossed the line in 19:39 in 80th place among 112 runners.

"They both had strong finishes, which is always nice to see, but we still need to work on our pacing," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "Next week's 5K will give them another chance to gain experience, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they accomplish."
