Tough battle at Warrior Invitational

With two weeks before their next competition, the Cyclones worked their way through thick, wet grass at the Warrior Invitational at Wisconsin Lutheran College for an 11th place finish out of 15 teams.

While still battling some injuries, the women faced tough competition but worked hard. Victoria Granz continued leading her team, crossing the line in 27:15 for 31st place. Following her was Madison Krisch (28:48, 62nd), Adali Haro (29:23, 71st), Nicole Pannitto (29:35, 73rd) and Jaime Funk (31:13, 89th).

"They had a lot of rain in Wisconsin the previous few days and it made the grass extra soft and muddy, so I wasn't expecting fast times. They had some good competition to go up against, and we're still battling the injury bug so I was happy with how things went," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "We're going to use the next two weeks to recover and continue getting stronger before we head to Peoria for our final meet of the regular season."
