Cyclones up to the challenge

Cyclones up to the challenge

On the toughest (and muddiest) course they've seen all season, the Cyclone women's cross country team faced the challenge and took seventh out of nine teams at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Victoria Granz continued to lead her team, finishing 48th in 26:48. Coming in after her was Adali Haro (28:49, 70th), Nicole Pannitto (29:29, 77th), Jaime Funk (30:01, 81st) and Yasmeen Abuhayyeh (31:56, 88th). The Cyclones still have two injured runners, but plan to get them up and racing in the next few competitions.

"The women ran well. This was the first time we got to look at the College of Lake County and Bryant & Stratton College teams. We learned a lot about where we stand," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "We now have two more meets before the championship race, and we'll be looking to finally run our full seven."
