Women take fourth at Warrior Invite

Some strong finishes highlighted the women's cross country meet at the Warrior Invitational in Wisconsin (Sept. 29). The team placed fourth out of 11 teams.

Calista Stefaniak was again among the top finishers, taking fourth in 25:24. Following her was Victoria Granz (18th, 26:47), Madison Krisch (32nd, 27:37), Lupe Diaz (54th, 30:07) and Natalie Moreno (61st, 31:13), who earned a personal best.

"I'm pleased with how the women competed. This course isn't easy, but our goal was to go out there and just compete with everyone," said head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "Calista planned on being near the top, and that's what she did. Natalie broke her 6K PR so that will be great for her confidence moving forward. Our women still aren't at full strength, but we don't race next weekend so hopefully we'll be able to race all seven women at the Bradley Pink Classic (Oct. 12) to get a real feel of where we stand."
