The battle was hard-fought, but the Cyclones suffered a 3-2 upset to Sauk Valley Community College in the NJCAA Region IV semifinals (20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 11-15).
When these two teams met earlier this season, the Cyclones won 3-1. This time the tables were turned. The Cyclones fought for every point, but a few errors and injured players were the deciding factor in this tight matchup that ultimately ended their season. Lauren Gausselin led with 27 digs. Noelle Knezz led with 21 kills and added 11 digs. Abbigail Fletcher ended the night with 20 digs and 17 kills. Taylor Bulow accumulated 27 assists and 13 digs while Amanda Bulow tallied 14 digs.
