Since 2015, the women's soccer program has boasted a number of successes. In 2015, the team won its first Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship with an undefeated record and repeated the feat in 2016, 2017 and 2018. They also have earned several NJCAA Region IV champions (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2003) and competed four consecutive years in the national tournament.
The women's soccer has had several players earn NJCAA All-America honors: Marbella Rodriguez (2016-honorable mention), Jennifer Martinez (2011-nominated), Erin Duncan (2003-third team), Stacey Smolarczyk (1997- honorable mention).
After the 2019 season, freshman Allison Schaar was ranked No. 6 in the NJCAA Division I for shots (104), No. 10 for assists (17), No. 11 for points (61) and No. 15 for goals (22).
Between 2015 and 2018, the Cyclones had not lost a regular season conference or region game.
The 2018 Cyclones were ranked No. 4 in shots (461), No. 8 in goals scored (99), No. 9 in shots on goal (256) and No. 10 for assists (73).
Goalkeeper Maribel Carmona (2018) was ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Division I for wins (19) and No. 6 for shutouts (9).
In 2017, Brooke Janeczek was the Region IV Tournament MVP and ranked No. 7 in NJCAA Division I with 29 goals. She was named to the All-Region and All-Conference first teams.
Patricia Rzadkosz was No. 3 nationally for assists (23) after the 2017 season. She also was named to the All-Region and All-Conference first teams.
The 2016 team ended the season ranked No. 15 in the NJCAA Division I.
Between 2015 and 2016, the Cyclones gave up only two goals in region games.
Marbella Rodriguez was named Skyway Player of the Year two years in a row (2016, 2015). In her first season, she was ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I for shots (104) and 11th for goals (23). In 2016, she recorded 25 goals, was ranked 15th and was an NJCAA All-American honorable mention.
Alyssa Braun was ranked 18th in NJCAA Division I for game-winning goals (2014).
During the 2012 season, they were ranked 20th in NJCAA Division I.
In 2011, goalkeeper Ashley Solus was ranked in the top 50 in NJCAA Division I with a .49 goals against average.
Natalie Ross (2010-11) and Natalie Maka (2011-12) earned the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Dick Durrant Award for the highest GPA in the conference.
After the 2011 season, Jennifer Martinez was voted the No. 1 defender in Region IV and nominated for the All-American team.
Al Palar took over the women’s soccer team as head coach starting in 2015. In each of his four seasons, he was named Region IV and Skyway Coach of the Year.
