Until their matchup with Olivet Nazarene University JV, finishing in front of the goal has been a struggle early in the season for the Cyclones. Moraine Valley took a decisive 6-3 victory at home.

The Cyclone offense was able to score early, and by halftime they were up 5-1. This program has set the bar high, however, and they struggled to score more in the second half and uncharacteristically gave up two goals. Any mistakes were null and void by the final score. Allison Schaar scored two and has been on fire, scoring at least twice in three out of four games. She has seven goals so far this season. Jasmine Quezada, Xochiquetzal Torres, Iris Cruz and Lauren Pikulski each scored as well.

"I thought we played well, especially early on. We looked sharper than we have in prior games. Most importantly, we are finally finding our fitness," said Head Coach Al Palar. "I really wish we didn't give up those two second-half goals late, but I'm happy with the end result. It was a good performance going into a big region game this Saturday."
