So close

So close

It was another tough night at home when the Cyclones dropped their game 90-83 to the visiting Waubonsee Community College Chiefs.

The Cyclones kept things close throughout the first quarter until the last few minutes when the Chiefs went on a run and went up 24-17. For most of the second quarter, the Cyclones stayed within two points before taking a brief lead and seeing a tie at 43. Right before the buzzer, the Chiefs scored two going into halftime. The rest of the game played out similarly with the Cyclones able to stay within close range of the Chiefs, but not enough shots fell to overtake them.

Katchie Savic led the charge with a double-double (26 points, 12 rebounds) and added five assists. Kirsten Kamholz came up with 17 points while Reagan Cameron banked 15. Maggie Manthey added 11 points and four assists while Mary Chronopoulou rounded out the scoring with 10 points.
