Rough opening night

Rough opening night

In their opening game of the season, the Cyclones had their work cut out for them against the No. 6 nationally ranked Parkland College at the Parkland Tournament. The Cyclones fell 91-50.

This was the team's first official outing after a spring season that didn't count toward their record. For the freshman-heavy team, it was quite the crew to face. They only mustered 12 points in each of the first two quarters, and were only down seven in the first, but by the fourth were able to grab more points and hold the Cobras to 13. Both Katchie Savic and Kelsey Kelley each scored 10 with Savic adding three steals. Kirsten Kamholz added seven points while Taniyah Henry and Mikayla Dove each had five rebounds.
