Slow start doesn't stop Cyclones

A slow start didn't stop the Cyclones from bringing home another win. They defeated the visiting Triton College Trojans 77-68.

It was the Trojans that carried the first quarter, leading the entire time. But the Cyclones pushed through the second quarter, scoring 19 and holding the Trojans to 13, that helped them get ahead where they remained. Cyclone defense also kept Triton to 13 points in both the second and third quarters. Moraine Valley increased their lead to 16 at one point while the Trojans clawed back unsuccessfully.

Kirsten Kamholz again led in scoring with 21 points, going 3-for-6 from the 3-point line. Chelsea Cross added 15 points while Nicole Poole finished with a double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) and three blocks.
