No. 5 Cyclones stun Panthers

The No. 5-ranked Cyclones earned their latest victory, winning 84-63 over the visiting Morton College Panthers.

Moraine Valley slowly pulled away and built a bigger lead each quarter. Although they won by 21 points, it was the team's worst 3-point shooting night as they went 1-for-11. However, they found other ways to win starting with a 55-23 dominating performance on the glass, including 27 offensive rebounds. The Cyclones also had 11 blocked shots, including four by Elizabeth Coffey (10 rebounds, six points). Kate Ruzevich led in scoring with 16 along with eight rebounds. Julia Ruzevich chipped in 14 points and nine assists. Erin Greenfield had a season-high 12 points. Hennessey Handy added 12 while Destiny Thames chipped in 11 points and two blocks.

In their 21 games so far this season, the Cyclones have only seen seven where they allowed their opponent to score more than 65 points.
