Cyclones win by 43-point spread

Out of eight games so far this season, the Cyclones have seen three of their seven victories in the century mark, including their matchup tonight with Triton College, where they won 104-61.

The length and scoring ability of this Cyclone squad have made them a force to be reckoned with in this opening month of basketball. It didn't take long for the Cyclones to jump to a double-digit lead in the first quarter (26-15). They continued to increase the spread, going ahead by as much as 47 points before the final buzzer. Kate Ruzevich had a big night with 24 points, 16 rebounds and five assists. Hennessey Handy chipped in 19 points, Gabbie Brent scored 14 while Ashley Hunter and Elizabeth Coffey each had 11 points. Coffey, back after a run at the national tournament with the Cyclone volleyball team, also grabbed eight rebounds.
