The Cyclones took down another nationally ranked team tonight. This time the NJCAA Division III No. 2 Rock Valley College Golden Eagles lost the battle in Moraine Valley's 81-71 victory.

It took the entire first half before the Cyclones really took control of this game. They came out sluggish in the first quarter, lacking any offensive flow. The second quarter saw stronger offense from both teams, leaving Moraine Valley down one at halftime. A defensive Cyclone front in the third quarter held the Golden Eagles to five points while Moraine Valley banked 21. The Cyclones maintained control and led by as much as 16 before closing out the victory.

Ashley Hunter led with 26 points (6-for-10 from the 3-point line), a career high eight steals and six rebounds. Hennessey Handy added 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Julia Ruzevich chipped in 20 points and a team high 11 rebounds. The Cyclones are averaging 44.9 rebounds per game and 86 points per game.
