Home opener domination

Home opener domination

This is the way to have a home opener. The Cyclones not only won their game over the visiting Kishwaukee College Kougars, but dominated in a 102-54 victory.

The Cyclones outscored the Kougars in all but one quarter, never losing the lead. Thanks in part to some impressive play from Hennessey Handy, her team was up 51-28 at halftime. They doubled their efforts in the second half for the win thanks to some big numbers. Handy earned her first triple-double of the season leading with 21 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds. Julia Ruzevich (eight steals, eight assists) and Ashley Hunter (seven rebounds) each had 19 points while Kate Ruzevich topped out with 17 points.
