The Cyclones split another one, this time with Elgin Community College.
Moraine Valley could only muster four hits to Elgin's 10 in their 6-2 loss. Although the top four hitters went 0-for-12 in this game, Annabelle Fritz and Darcee Nichols scored the RBIs. Karly Krown had two hits and scored a run. Samantha Stahl started in the circle, allowing six runs.
Donna Booe led the offense in her team's 4-1 victory. She crushed a solo home run in the bottom of the first, her fourth of the season. In the fifth, she singled to notch two more RBIs for the 3-0 lead. Nichols knocked in Booe for an RBI, and Martinez added two hits, scored and stole a base. Nichols and Kaminsky also had two hits in this game. Mariah Martinez authored a solid pitching performance, striking out 12 while allowing just one unearned run and three hits.
