Davis grabs 5 RBIs in Cyclone split

Madi Davis has been on fire at the plate this season through her team's wins and losses. She put up 5 RBIs in the Cyclones' split with College of DuPage.

The Cyclone bats were all but silent with the exception of Davis who had the lone RBI and single in the 7-1 loss. Karly Krown scored the run while splitting pitching duties with Liz McCuan. Errors hindered the outcome as the Cyclones committed four, allowing five runs.

A fourth inning offensive surge started by a Davis double gave the Cyclones a needed boost to win the 9-5 nightcap. Donna Booe also jacked a double to center, Karly Krown shot an RBI single to center and Jessica Coyle lined to left to score a few runners. Davis and Booe singled again in the fourth before it was over and the Cyclones led 7-2. Davis led the way with 4 RBIs, 3 hits and 2 doubles. Coyle tacked on 2 RBIs and 2 doubles (2-for-4) while Angela Abrand (1-for-4, 2 runs), Booe (3-for-4, 1 run) and Krown (2-for-4, 1 run) each earned an RBI. McCuan started in the circle with Mariah Martinez in relief (five strikeouts) to seal the victory.
