Collectively, the men finished fourth out of six teams. Alvarez (27:05) led the way followed by Diego Arana (18th, 27:58), John Donovan (23rd, 29:31), Ettore Gaytan (36th, 33:01) and Isaiah Flores (37th, 33:09).

"I was pleased with how the men ran. There was some solid competition from top programs, and our top three had almost even splits the whole way through, which is what we're looking for," said head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "Alvarez's time is the best season opening 8k in school history, and he looked good doing it. We're still trying to get everyone healthy, but we're getting closer. Next meet should be another good test for them."
